We miter the corners to stop moisture getting in, this also creates a perfect match with both sides of the door have a seamless finish as steel has a radius on the edge. While with a butt join the steel the top of a security door (mostly standard in the industry) will be hollow letting moisture in the problem with this is that the radius on the top of the door will not match the straight cut on the side of the door which then means you would have to ground down that edge to match the radius on the top of the door (just doesn't look right). We use solid steel spindles turned on a lave ( not cast ), laser cut decorative corner pieces with six different types to choose from, we match the cross rails heights to suit your timber door to give your new security door perfect harmony with your home. Our doors are zinc coated to stop rust then they are powder coated using Dulux powders only for that perfect finish. We install all our heritage steel security doors with a Lockwood double deadlock with dual select which means you can lock the security door from the outside and in case of fire you can get from the inside by flicking the latch up, but you also turn the key twice and the security door is double deadlocked. Our security doors also come with a door close for your convenience, we have plenty of different mesh options as well, you can have a standard tuff screen wire or you can even go for the limited vision mesh with over 100 colors to choose from we should have something to match.

By keeping the small shop front in Reservoir we believed most of our customers recognized us, but push came to shovel and Michael's Security Doors had out grown it, so we decided to bit the bullet and move to a brand new factory and showroom at factory 2/44 Mahoneys rd Thomastown where we still are to this day. Michael's Security Doors has prospered there as with the benefits of having the factory a showroom together it makes the administration and manufacturing processes so much more efficient, another bonus is the space Michael's Security Doors has gained, with this space we have been able to hold more stock (faster turnaround) set out areas for specific doors (better quality finish) and most of all being able to offer one the biggest ranges in Victoria maybe Australia.
